Grief and Loss
Grief and loss are universal human experiences and everyone grieves in their own way and at their own pace. Loss can come in many forms such as a death, a breakup, changes in health status, or the loss of a job, financial stability, a pet, youth, a home etc.
The grieving process often involves many difficult and complicated emotions. You may feel alone, anxious, or depressed in response to a loss, and you may notice urges and behaviors to avoid these feelings. Seeking therapy after a loss can help you overcome anxiety and depression by processing your experience at your own pace.
At Lasting Wellness, we provide a place where it is safe to feel all of your feelings and to be held in your grief. We aim to reduce avoidance of emotional discomfort associated with grief and to increase acceptance and tolerance of it.
