Dr Lindsay St Thomas, PsyD, PMH-C

Welcome!

My name is Lindsay and I'm glad you're here! I am a psychologist and the owner of Lasting Wellness. I grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania and received a B.A. from Penn State University in 2001 and a Doctorate of Psychology from Alliant International University in San Diego in 2010.  

​​

In 2020 I became certified to treat Perinatal Mood Disorders through Postpartum Support International.  

 

I have a strong interest in treating pregnancy related concerns (fertility, loss, birth trauma, etc).  I also really enjoy working with others in the healing professions.  

​​​​

In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, and spending time with my husband and two children.

Dr. Andrea Genello, PsyD

Licensed Psychologist

Originally from Northeast Pennsylvania, Dr. Genello earned her Bachelor of Science from The University of Scranton and a Doctorate in Psychology from Marywood University.

Currently, Dr. Genello is immersed in a comprehensive year long training on reproductive psychology to improve her clinical skills and understanding topics such as fertility, birth trauma, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

 

Dr. Genello utilizes her education and training in evidence-based practice to support your discovery of a balanced self-perception.  She believes in collaboratively and creatively developing realistic treatment goals focused on symptom reduction, while implementing valuable approaches to long term healthy functioning.

She currently runs our support group for women who have experienced a stillbirth or neonatal loss.

Lisa Layne, LPC, PMH-C

Licensed Professional Counselor

Lisa is currently accepting new clients for Telehealth.

​

Lisa completed a B.A. in Psychology at Temple University before attending PennWest Edinboro where she earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology.  Additionally, she completed an M.A. in Counseling at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.  

 

Lisa has spent the last 10 years specializing in parent-child attachment and relationship building. She is a Clinical Supervisor, Certified COSN Therapist & Certified COSN Parent Educator with the Ainsworth Attachment Clinic and Circle of Security Network. She is also a Registered COSP Facilitator with Circle of Security International. In 2024, Lisa obtained her certification to treat Perinatal Mood Disorders through Postpartum Support International (PMH-C).

With over 18 years of clinical experience, Lisa is skilled at establishing trust and respect by being approachable, personable, and knowledgeable. She values a collaborative and informed approach to therapy. 

 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, restoring furniture, and being in nature. 

Sara Hegarty, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor & Board Certified Art Therapist

Sara completed a B.A. in Psychology at Albright College. Additionally, she earned her Master’s degree in Art Therapy at Marywood University, Scranton PA. Sara has obtained credentials as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist. She is currently pursuing a certification in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International.

 

Sara has over 15 years of clinical experience specializing in trauma informed care. Sara has a deep interest in treating pregnancy related concerns especially traumatic birth and loss. She has served children and adults throughout the NEPA region. Sara has provided treatment in the forensic field as well as outpatient, school and community settings treating a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, ADHD, ASD, trauma and grief and loss.

 

Throughout her career, Sara has enjoyed volunteering with a team to provide critical incident stress management to first responders locally. She utilizes an approach of active listening and compassionate care with each client or setting she works in. Sara has provided trainings to groups and organizations across the region for over four years encompassing trauma informed care and wellness.

 

In her free time, Sara enjoys cooking, arts and crafts and spending time outside with her daughter.

Vanessa Caparo

Office Manager

As our administrative assistant, Vanessa keeps things organized behind the scenes and helps clients book their initial appointment.  She assists clients with understanding their mental health benefits and getting them scheduled.

She is an avid reader who loves spending time with family and being a Meema to her four grandchildren.
